End of the Year Book Tag

Saturday, 10 November 2018

Coming in more than a little late, but this tag is absolutely everywhere right now so I thought I would put my penny's worth in. I do not think there has ever been a point in the last five years or so, when I have sat back and not loudly and obnoxiously shared my opinion, so I see no reason to start now.
1/ Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
I am usually really good at not leaving books by the wayside but, this year, I unfortunately still have all the books that I started during the last Dewey's Readathon to finish (Song of Achilles by Madeleine Miller, Pet Sematary by Stephen King, and Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen). Life got in the way, I suppose.

2/ Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?
See? I told you I was late. When this question was appropriate, I gave Wuthering Heights a go. You know, the quintessential gothic romance set up on the North York Moors? To say I was not impressed would be an understatement.

3/ Is there a new release you're still waiting for?
Weirdly, I don't feel as though many books come out in December? At least not ones that have been on my radar. You would think that it would be a big month for books with them cashing in on Christmas and everything.

4/ What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

5/ Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?
If I actually get around to reading The Tidal Zone by Sarah Moss, yes I do.

6/ Have you already started making reading plans for 2018?
Yes! I am hoping to complete the Around the World in 52 Books Reading Challenge, as well as finally getting around to reading a list of five-star predictions (check out the list when it's posted in the next few weeks!). I need next year to be a better reading one than this one, okay?

Head on over to http://bit.ly/2y7JSWV for these books, as well as all of the others featured in my reviews, complete with the added bonuses of free worldwide shipping and bringing a little joy to my life.
